Dorchester is Boston’s largest and most populous neighborhood, with a population of over 92,000 residents, and is located south of downtown Boston. Settled in 1630, Dorchester became part of Boston in 1870. In 1979, it became home to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, located on Columbia Point. Dorchester is also home to Franklin Park – 485 acres that includes walking paths, baseball fields, basketball courts, and Franklin Park Zoo. The neighborhood also has three bike trails, including the Neponset River Greenway. South Shore Custom Cabinets is proud to serve our neighbors in the Dorchester area.
